AUDITIONS
FALL 2022 MUSICAL



SOMETHING ROTTEN!


Audition for a side splitting modern musical comedy that appeals to both the modern day and classical theatre fan. This show is rife with witty humor, amazing dance numbers, songs for lovers and songs for comics, and takes the audience on a journey of a classic tale with a hilarious twist.


AUDITION DATES/TIMES

Actors, Singers and Dancers:


Mon, Aug. 1 & Tues, Aug. 2 @ 7pm - Initial Audition.

(You only need to attend one of these nights)

Wed, Aug. 3, @7pm. Callbacks.

Main Theatre at corner of Myrtle and College Oak.


Vaccine card or COVID test required for admittance.


AUDITION WILL CONSIST OF:

Short pieces of music from the show will be taught at auditions.

You will present one of these as your vocal audition.


A dance sequence will be taught for the dance audition.

Please wear shoes and clothing you can move in.

Dance / Tap / Jazz shoes are encouraged but not required.


Cold readings may occur at initial audition and/or at callbacks

GENERAL CAST All ethnicities, ages (16 and up), and genders welcome and encouraged to attend!

Leads: 7-8 Men, 3-4 Women • Ensemble: 6+ Women, 6+ Men.

Community members welcome.

(All participants must enroll in 3-unit Theatre Performance class.)



GENERAL REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE DATES

Rehearsals will begin August 6

(with rehearsals Mon-Fri evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons. Not all performers will be called to all rehearsals).

Performances run weekends, Oct. 7 - 23.
